IFB Week 22 Playoff Update: Friday Edition

There were only 6 games on the MLB schedule for Thursday, but that didn't mean there wasn't plenty of action in the Illinois Fantasy Baseball League playoff race.  Here is the Thursday update.

First, the match-ups after Thursday that have an impact on the playoff hunt:
  • All Balls No Strikes  4
  • Funky Cold Molina 7
  • Bambinos 6
  • JSloan 4
  • Ferris Indians  6
  • Anabolic A Rods 5
  • Most Daring 8
  • BJ Penn 3
  • Muse Academy Muses 6
  • 2010 not a Holliday 3
  • Quincy Dirtbags  3
  • BooBooCubs  9
Thursday's action saw most match-ups either tighten up, or see a new leader.  With the current results in mind, let's see what the standings would look like with those results:
  1. Sparland Hilltoppers (161-82-21)
  2. BooBooCubs (146-101-17)
  3. JSloan (140-102-22)
  4. BJ Penn (139-109-16)
  5. Ferris Indians (132-110-22)
  6. 2010 not a Holliday (131-113-20)
  7. Muse Academy Muses (130-114-20)
  8. Most Daring (128-121-15)
  9. All Balls No Strikes (122-118-24)
  10. Funky Cold Molina (123-125-16)
And now, a look at the division races still up for grabs:

Lincoln
  1. BooBooCubs (146-101-17)
  2. Ferris Indians (132-110-22), 11.5 GB
Grant
  1. BJ Penn (139-109-16)
  2. 2010 not a Holliday (131-113-20), 6 GB
So with all the information above, here is what the playoffs would look like if these results hold:
  • (1) Sparland Hilltoppers vs. (8) Most Daring
  • (4) BJ Penn vs. (5) Ferris Indians
  • (3) JSloan vs. (6) 2010 not a Holliday
  • (2) BooBooCubs vs. (7) Muse Academy Muses
All Balls No Strikes and Funky Cold Molina would miss out on the playoffs.  And after Thursday's results, the gap between 7th and 8th increased from 1.5 games to 4.5 games.  Although there is still a lot to be played, it appears 3 teams are fighting for the 8th and final playoff spot.
